Yzf125r cdi unit more revs required?

new cdi unit for my yamaha yzf125r , when it redlines it starts to choke but bike wants to rev more, im a 50year old biker,had big bikes over the years but due to health issues had to get a light bike (125kg-R125), been told i could get a different cdi unit, where ?
