In Blackjack should you surrender if it is offered?

There are only 4 or 5 combinations of player's hand versus dealer's hand where it's correct to surrender. Casinos offer a surrender because they are betting that players don't know what those 4 or 5 hands are. In general, while it is RARELY correct to surrender, the odds favor you not taking a surrender unless you know those specific scenarios. Look at anyonehere's chart to find those hands. If you can't memorize it, the odds favor you just ping the surrender whenever it's offered, otherwise you're just playing into the House advantage.
