Ferret smell (20 letters)?

I wanna get some ferrets and just had a few question about their smell. I have to keep them in my room, will this effect the smell of my furniture and clothes? Also, how do you clean their bedding (towels, fleece, hammocks)? Just in the washer? Does that cause the washer to make other loads smell bad?
