Collectors have put my parents bills on my credit file. Is this illegal?

My dad and I have the same first and last name. different middle names. different social security numbers. Ive already disputed these items. they were taken off my credit then they reappeared. Is this worthy of legal action against these companies since it has ruined my credit?
